Cotswold Electroworks was founded to provide an affordable, modern and sustainable drivetrain alternative for classic Land Rovers, whilst retaining all the quirks and charm that makes these vehicles so special.

Benjamin Davies
Ever since being given a TOMY plastic spanner and screwdriver set as a toddler, Ben has been trying make sense of the world by taking things apart. As he became older, the curiosity only increased and the items being dismantled became more complex: toasters, dishwashers, lawnmowers and personal computers all fell prey. Occasionally they were even put back together again with no bits left over.
Ben bought his first Land Rover whilst still at university and they have been a constant feature on his driveway ever since.
When not faffing about with Land Rovers, Ben lives with his wife Harriet. Their lives are ruled by their two dogs: Shena and Barney.
Sustainability
Sustainability is central to what we do. Converting classic Land Rovers to electric power extends the life of existing vehicles, preserving their character while significantly reducing emissions.
Where appropriate, we prioritise the responsible reuse of high-quality batteries and motors, giving proven components a second life and reducing embodied carbon. Every system is fully tested and integrated with modern management and safety controls to ensure reliability.
